Melanie Howard : Director of Insights & Planning
Two decades working as a social trends forecaster, as Head of IT and Media at The Henley Centre and then as co-founder of The Future Foundation, mean that Melanie brings a wealth of experience to enhancing decision making and informing communications strategies with fresh consumer insights. She has conducted over 200 research projects into the future, ranging from 24 Hour Society to a multi-client study on the Future of Entertainment.
Melanie’s first career was in direct marketing at Ogilvy and she has worked with The Communications Agency as a consultant for the last 20 years. She brings a no-nonsense, consumer-based approach to predicting changing behaviour and exploring what this mean for clients.
Melanie is part time Chair of The Future Foundation. She is also a trustee of both the IDM and the Women’s Sport and Fitness Foundation, as well as a Visiting Professor at Henley Business School. She also finds time to play tennis with Highbury Ladies 2nd team and study art history. Much to Robert and Adam’s chagrin, she supports Arsenal.
